Ivy is the first of her kind for us—a sandal with a signature CERI block heel and a sleek, strappy upper that is understatement defined. Ivy was born out of Ceri’s search for something sexy yet smart and versatile; something Ceri would wear casually with jeans but also on date night or an evening out with friends.
Our team played extensively with the shape of the heel, creating samples of varying heights and thicknesses. In the end, we chose a three-inch heel for the final pattern we hope offers the best of both worlds, low enough for extended walkability and poise and tall enough to be out of the ordinary. We wanted to reach the woman who exudes style and confidence without the fuss.
Just like ivy, this sandal wraps firmly around the foot and ankle producing a twisty appearance that delights with whimsy and curiosity. In smooth Italian Black nubuck, which is leather that has been buffed on the grain side, and Chestnut suede, which has a slightly longer nap you may remember from our Miller Mule this past fall, the Ivy sandal’s thin straps draw a linear pattern atop the foot that is inspired by mid-century composition.
